Lab Safety Awards

The Virginia Commonwealth University Office of Environmental Health and Safety handed out its annual Lab Safety Awards, which recognize outstanding workplace safety practices, earlier this year. The award has been given out annually since 1977.

This year’s recipients were:

Radiation Laboratory Safety Award: Dr. Kimber White, Department of Pharmacology/Toxicology

Fire Safety Award: Allison Patel, University Housing

Occupational Safety Award: Lt. William Butters, VCU Police

Chemical Laboratory Safety Award: Dr. Diomedes E. Logothetis, Department of Physiology and Biophysics

Biohazard Laboratory Safety Award: Ronzo Lee, Department of Pediatrics
