VCU Police and the VCU Division of Student Affairs will host a university safety town hall meeting on Wednesday, March 27, at 7 p.m. in Harris Hall Auditorium, 1015 Floyd Ave.

Information will be provided about current university safety initiatives, response to crime on and around campus, alert communications and personal safety practices. Representatives from VCU Police Department, the Division of Student Affairs and university administration will be in attendance.

“At VCU, safety is everyone’s responsibility,” said VCU Police Chief John Venuti. “VCU becomes the safest college campus only when we get everyone involved. The VCU Police Department listens to and values input from the campus community.”

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and address concerns. Those unable to attend the town hall meeting can join in the conversation via Twitter by tweeting questions ahead of time or during the event by using the hashtag #RamSmart.

The town hall meeting is open to all students and employees.
