VCU Medical Center to Present Trauma and Life Evac Conference

The Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine’s Division of Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Surgery and VCU Life Evac will present “Trauma Update for the New Decade,” an educational conference on the current challenges and solutions in trauma management.
The event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, 403 N. 3rd St.
Speakers will travel from all over the United States and Canada to deliver lectures on topics such as geriatric trauma, airway management and trauma triage.
The capstone of the conference will be the afternoon case presentation of a pediatric lightning strike victim from Spotsylvania County. The patient and his family will be present as VCU Life Evac presents a holistic overview of the case from onset through recovery.
In addition, the VCU Life Evac and Virginia State Police MedFlight helicopters will be on display.
