VCU Police Will Hold an Open House at the New MCV Campus Police Substation

Virginia Commonwealth University Police will host an open house for reporters at the new police substation now open on the university’s MCV Campus. Police also will discuss new efforts to prevent, reduce and respond to crime.

The open house takes place on Tuesday, April 19, beginning at 10 a.m., at the VCU Police MCV Campus substation, which is located at the Virginia Mechanics Institute, 1000 E. Marshall St.

Chief John Venuti will discuss the purpose and significance of the new substation and Sgt. Nicole Dailey will discuss the early successes of recently implemented Text-A-Tip and social media efforts.

Editor’s Note: Officers will be available to assist reporters with parking in front of the substation.
