An award-winning photojournalist with more than 25 years experience shooting television news and producing corporate video presentations, Joseph Preston Kuttenkuler works with the Office of Communications and Public Relations providing video support for the news operation.
He is the assistant director of video services, within the Division of University Relations’ Department of Creative Services.
From 1991 to 1998, Kuttenkuler worked in the VCU Medical Center’s marketing department where he co-produced two weekly medical television shows that aired for six years on two stations in Richmond. He also contributed to the marketing plan for a large satellite clinic facility, and co-produced, shot and edited commercials promoting its opening.
His awards include two Associated Press Awards, a PRSA Medallion Award and a Hermes Creative Award.
Kuttenkuler received his bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications from the University of Richmond in 1984.
