Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR) was recently designated the only Level 1 pediatric trauma center in Virginia. CHoR hosted a celebration for the staff on Aug. 15 in the Critical Care Hospital at the VCU Medical Center.

This special designation means CHoR has the capability of providing leadership and total care for every aspect of injury, from prevention through rehabilitation. CHoR is one of only 39 other such centers across the country that demonstrates the highest level of patient care, education and research.
