VCU Health continues its educational seminar series this fall with programs on Medicare and diabetes. Seminars are held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in the Kelly Education Center, 1800 Lakeside Ave. All seminars are free and open to the public, but registration is recommended. Join Peter Boling, M.D., geriatrician at VCU Health; and Rick Gordon, vice president of federal programs at Virginia Premier, as they help navigate the what and why of Medicare.

“Understanding Diabetes: We Are All Impacted”

Diabetes affects the lives of so many in the community. Whether you have a friend, neighbor or co-worker with diabetes, it is beneficial to understand what diabetes is, the associated myths and how to prevent and manage the condition. Join Pablo Bedoya, M.D., an endocrinology and metabolism fellow in the VCU School of Medicine; and Nicole Grant, diabetes educator, as they discuss how we are each affected and what we can do about it.
