Members of the Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors will hold meetings next week as follows:

The Strategic Task Force will meet on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 3 p.m. at 101 W. Franklin St., Commonwealth Room, Richmond, Virginia.

Various members will also attend a dinner at 101 W. Franklin St. No VCU business will be discussed at this dinner.

The board will also hold its annual orientation and retreat over two days. The orientation and retreat will be held Thursday, Aug. 16 at 8:30 a.m. at the James Branch Cabell Library, Room 303, 901 Park Avenue, Richmond, Virginia.

In addition, the members of the board will attend a reception and dinner Thursday, Aug. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at VCU's Institute of Contemporary Art, 601 W. Broad St., Richmond, Virginia.

The orientation and retreat will continue Friday, Aug. 17 at 9 a.m. at VCU's Rice Rivers Center, Conference Room, 3701 John Tyler Memorial Highway, Charles City, Virginia.

In accordance with the board’s operating procedures, there shall be no opportunity for public comment at these meetings.
