Virginia Commonwealth University Police took to the streets on Sept. 12, to remind drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists to share the road with one another. Joined by representatives from Richmond Police, DRIVE SMART Virginia, Bike Virginia and the Richmond Ambulance Authority, the group manned each corner of Belvidere and Main streets passing out safety information to passersby. The event was held in honor of Virginia Bicyclist and Pedestrian Awareness Week, Sept. 9-15. This year's theme is “BE AWARE. Share The Road, Save A Life.”
