VCU Police to discuss traffic impacts of 2018 graduations at the Siegel Center

Capt. Jonathan Siok from the Virginia Commonwealth University Police Department will discuss the anticipated traffic impacts to downtown Richmond from local graduations at VCU’s Stuart C. Siegel Center. Twenty-five schools from Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico and New Kent counties and St. Gertrude and ECPI University will host ceremonies at the Siegel Center between June 5 and 16.

VCU Police has worked with VCU Parking & Transportation, the city of Richmond, the Richmond Police Department and the Virginia Department of Transportation to establish a comprehensive traffic plan.

VCU Police invites reporters to a media briefing on Tuesday, May 29, at 9:30 a.m. in the Siegel Center (located at 1200 W. Broad St.). Media parking is available in the UU Lot, directly next to the Siegel Center. Reporters can meet Corey Byers and Jonsette Calloway with VCU Public Affairs at the Siegel Center entrance in the UU Lot.
