VCU Police to hold checkpoint near Monroe Park

The Virginia Commonwealth University Police Department will conduct an administrative checkpoint this weekend. Officers will be checking driver's licenses and registrations.

The checkpoint will be operational on the 700 block of West Main Street, near Monroe Park, from midnight on Sunday, June 21, to 3 a.m. 

Law enforcement officers from the Richmond Police Department will assist. 

The checkpoint is funded by a grant through the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
