VCU President Michael Rao will deliver his State of the University Address on Thursday

Virginia Commonwealth University President Michael Rao, Ph.D., will discuss VCU’s national prominence during his sixth State of the University Address this week.

Reporters are invited to cover the address on Thursday, Jan. 31, beginning at 11 a.m. in Lecture Hall 303 of James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave.

The address will focus on VCU’s transformational success under its recently completed Quest for Distinction strategic plan and will announce a new initiative to help make VCU and Richmond the national hub for health care innovation.

The address will be streamed on VCU’s homepage, www.vcu.edu, and VCU’s Facebook page, go.vcu.edu/vcufacebook. Sign language interpreters will be available for the deaf and hard of hearing. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
