The Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors will hold an in-person and electronic meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17, beginning at 1 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 18, beginning at 8 a.m.

The meeting will be held in both open and closed session in the James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave. Board members who are participating electronically will access the meeting via Zoom.

If you would like to attend the Board of Visitors meeting in person, you must register by providing the following information via email sent to bov@vcu.edu: name, email and phone number, VCU affiliation, (e.g. student, faculty, employee, alumni, parent or member of the public), identify which date(s) you plan to attend, and any requests for reasonable accommodation if needed. Please note in the subject line that you are registering to attend the September BOV meeting. You may also call Chelsea Gray, board liaison, at (804) 828-9213 to register.

To ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff, all those participating in person must physically distance, wear clean masks inside buildings and outside in high-traffic spaces, and wash their hands frequently. We also must limit the size of in-person gatherings. In order to do so, those planning to attend in person must register in advance. Preference will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. The first 10 individuals to register will have the opportunity to attend in person; individuals beyond the first 10 may watch the open sessions via the livestream at https://mssvideo.vcu.edu/BOV. Should you have any interruption of the video broadcast, please contact Taron James at (804) 828-8313.

Details of the meeting can be found at https://president.vcu.edu/board/meetings/.

In accordance with standard board procedures, there will be no opportunity for public comment during the meeting. Comment forms prepared by the Virginia Freedom of Information Advisory Council regarding the meeting experience will be made available to the public at the meeting.
