Mary Kate Brogan serves as senior PR specialist, managing external communications and media relations for VCU’s College of Humanities and Sciences, L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, School of Education and School of Social Work.
She joined Public Relations in September 2019, working with the health sciences on the MCV Campus as a PR specialist.
Brogan previously worked in marketing and communications, developing web content at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Before entering higher education communications, she edited and designed sports, features and news sections and managed websites and social media at Daily Press and The Roanoke Times. She earned her bachelor’s in journalism at Elon University in 2014 and is a native of La Grange, Illinois.
