Anne Dreyfuss joined the University Public Affairs staff in October 2014. As a public relations specialist primarily covering VCU Health Sciences, Dreyfuss leads communications for VCU’s five health sciences schools and VCU Health. In addition to devising integrated public relations plans for each school, she works with physicians and faculty members in health-related disciplines to promote their research. Her pitching and media relations have resulted in coverage for VCU from national outlets including the Wall Street Journal, People magazine and the Discovery Channel.
As an early adopter of utilizing livestreaming for professional marketing purposes, Dreyfuss has been invited to speak at technology innovation conferences throughout the U.S., including at Microsoft’s headquarters and the national South by Southwest EDU conference.
Dreyfuss brings years of experience as an award-winning journalist to VCU. Prior to joining the University Public Affairs team she was associate editor at Richmond magazine, where she started as a staff writer in 2011. At Richmond magazine, she specialized in writing feature-length articles that were often recognized with Virginia Press Association awards. She also oversaw operations of three separate sister publications, including Richmond Bride magazine.
Dreyfuss graduated from James Madison University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She is currently pursuing an MBA at VCU.
