Nina Hobcroft named Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Market Development at VCU Health

Nina T. Hobcroft has been appointed vice president of strategic alliances and market development at VCU Health. The new role was created to capitalize on the growing momentum that is positioning VCU Health in more strategic partnerships and markets across the commonwealth.

“We are fortunate to have someone like Nina join our team at a time when strategic alliances are more important than ever,” said Deborah Davis, CEO of Virginia Commonwealth University Health System Hospitals and Clinics and vice president for clinical affairs at VCU. “Nina has an extensive background in strategic planning and has achieved tremendous success in her past leadership roles. We are confident that she will take us to the next level.”

Prior to joining VCU Health, Hobcroft served as senior vice president of strategy and development at HCA Capital Division where she led significant market expansion efforts and the development of robust analytics at 17 regional hospitals and three free-standing emergency centers spread across four states. Before joining HCA, Hobcroft spent eight years at medical supplies and health care technology company McKesson Medical-Surgical. As a clinical leader, she served as the assistant administrator of rehabilitation services at Children’s Hospital of Richmond and executive director of the Richmond Cerebral Palsy Center.

Hobcroft earned her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and master’s degree in health administration from VCU. She has served as an adjunct faculty member in the VCU School of Allied Health Profession’s Department of Health Administration.
