VCU Board of Visitors Strategic Task Force & VCU Board of Visitors executive committee to meet in person and electronically Feb. 17

The VCU Board of Visitors Strategic Task Force will hold an in-person and electronic meeting on Feb. 17, beginning at noon, with a meeting of the VCU Board of Visitors executive committee to follow.

The public may view a livestream of the open session videoconference of an upcoming BOV meeting or attend in person.

The Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors Strategic Task Force will hold an in-person and electronic meeting on Feb. 17, beginning at noon. Immediately following the task force meeting the VCU Board of Visitors executive committee will hold an in-person and electronic meeting.

The meeting will be held in open session and will take place in the Scott House, 909 W. Franklin St. Board members who are participating electronically will access the meeting via Zoom. The public may view a livestream of the open session videoconference at https://mssvideo.vcu.edu/BOV. If you would like to attend the Board of Visitors Strategic Task Force meeting in person on Thursday, Feb. 17, you must register by providing the following information via email sent to bov@vcu.edu: name, email and phone number, VCU affiliation, (e.g. student, faculty, employee, alumni, parent or member of the public), identify which date(s) you plan to attend, and request for reasonable accommodation if needed. Please note in the subject line that you are registering to attend the February 2022 BOV Strategic Task Force meeting. You may also call Chelsea Gray, board liaison, at (804) 828-9213 to register.

There will be a 15-minute public comment period at the beginning of the meeting.

If you would like to offer public comment at the Feb. 17 meeting at noon, you must register by providing the following information via email to bov@vcu.edu: name, email and phone number, VCU affiliation (e.g. student, faculty, employee, alumni, parent or member of the public), and request for reasonable accommodation if needed. Speakers will proceed in the order of registration and should be in person or online at the start of the meeting at noon to facilitate meeting operations. Speakers will be limited to a maximum of three minutes each.

Preference will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. The first five individuals to register will have the opportunity to speak during the public comment period; individuals beyond the first five to register may submit written comments (see below).

Speakers may provide materials in advance should they wish to share with the Board of Visitors.

Individuals unable to attend the public comment period or to provide comment during the allotted hour period may provide written comment via an open comment portal to ensure an adequate opportunity for informed public comment on the proposed agenda items. All comments submitted to the portal must be made by 4:30 p.m., Feb. 14.
