Charlotte Moss to address VCU grads at spring commencement

Moss, an internationally recognized interior designer and author, is a VCU alum.

Charlotte Moss, an internationally recognized interior designer and author, will deliver Virginia Commonwealth University’s spring commencement address on Saturday, May 14, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

Moss, a VCU alum, has 37 years of experience in the business of design and is the author of 11 books, including her most recent work, “Home: A Celebration: Notable Voices Reflect on the Meaning of Home” (Rizzoli, 2021), which benefits the nonprofit No Kid Hungry.

She is the recipient of numerous honors, including the New York School of Interior Design’s Centennial Medal and The Royal Oak Foundation’s Timeless Design award. And she is on the advisory board of the New York School of Interior Design, where she holds an honorary doctorate degree.

Moss is also a dedicated philanthropist. She is trustee emerita of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation at Monticello and serves on the boards of the Bone Marrow Foundation, American Corporate Partners and Madoo Conservancy. She is also on The Mount’s advisory council and the International Council of Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens.
