Virginia Commonwealth University President Michael Rao, Ph.D., will deliver his annual State of the University Address on March 29 at the James Branch Cabell Library.

The event will be held at 11 a.m. in the Lecture Hall, room 303, of Cabell Library. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. RSVP to attend at go.vcu.edu/sotu2023. For special accommodations, email UNIVevents@vcu.edu. A live broadcast will stream at vcu.edu.

During his speech, Rao will celebrate the uncommon creativity and innovation that make VCU a model of what a public research university and health system should be.

“The needs of our students and patients are changing rapidly, and higher education and academic health care must adapt just as quickly,” Rao said. “At VCU, we’re unafraid to challenge the status quo in pursuit of distinctive excellence and innovation. I welcome all members of our One VCU community to hear how we’re creating the future our students, patients, communities and society need.”
