VCU Police to hold checkpoint in downtown Richmond starting Friday night

Three-hour operation in the 700 block of West Main Street will check for driver’s licenses and registrations.

The Virginia Commonwealth University Police Department will conduct an administrative checkpoint starting this Friday night, Oct. 27, on the Monroe Park Campus. Officers will be checking driver’s licenses and registrations.

The checkpoint will operate in the 700 block of West Main Street, near Monroe Park, from 11 p.m. Oct. 27 to 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

The checkpoint is funded by a grant through the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
