Jerry Nadeau discharged from VCU Medical Center

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center officials today announced that NASCAR Winston Cup driver Jerry Nadeau was discharged from the hospital, Monday, May 26. 

Doctors said Nadeau was transferred to the Charlotte Institute of Rehabilitation in Charlotte, N.C., where he will continue rehabilitation that was begun at the VCU Medical Center.  At the time of discharge, doctors said Nadeau was improving daily and “on an excellent recovery path.” 

Nadeau, 32, was admitted to the VCU Medical Center May 2, after an accident during a practice session at Richmond International Raceway.  He suffered a moderate to severe head injury, a fractured left scapula (shoulder blade) and lung and rib injuries.
