Laura Bush to visit VCU Health System Library

WHAT: Mrs. Laura Bush will formally dedicate the new Community Health Education Center at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System.

A brief ceremony in the lobby of the health system’s Gateway Building will be hosted by Dr. Eugene P. Trani, VCU president and chairman of the VCU Health System Authority board of directors.

Invited guests include Gov. Mark R. Warner and U.S. Sen. John W. Warner, R-VA.

WHEN: Monday, March 11, 2 p.m. Media check-in will be from 1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Final access to the event will be at 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: VCU Health System Gateway Building, 1200 E. Marshall St., Richmond, VA.

A designated seating area will be reserved for media inside the lobby of the Gateway Building. Limited platform space will be available to print and electronic media photographers. An audio mult box will be available for audio feeds.

CHECK-IN: Advance registration is required of all media personnel, including all members of camera crews. A credential request form is attached below. All media wishing to attend the event must return the credential form by e-mail to VCU University News Services by noon, Friday, March 8. Names and Social Security numbers are required for all those seeking admission.
