VCU Police to hold checkpoint over Memorial Day weekend

The Virginia Commonwealth University Police Department will conduct an administrative checkpoint this weekend. Officers will be checking drivers’ licenses and registrations.

The checkpoint will be operational on the 700 block of W. Main Street, near Monroe Park, from 11 p.m. Saturday, May 25, to 1 a.m. Sunday, May 26. Law enforcement officers from the Richmond Police Department and Virginia State Police will assist.

The checkpoint is funded by a grant through the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
