Roni Reiter-Palmon, Ph.D., will visit Virginia Commonwealth University on Friday, Sept. 28, as the School of Business’ fall 2018 scholar-in-residence.

Reiter-Palmon of the University of Nebraska Omaha will present "Team Creativity — the Good, the Bad, and How to Make it Happen" at 8 a.m. in Snead Hall, 301 W. Main St., Room B3114, preceded by a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m.

The Varner Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology and director of the I/O Psychology Graduate Program at UNO, Reiter-Palmon also serves as director for the Center for Collaboration Science, an interdisciplinary program at UNO. She teaches creativity and innovation in organizations, leadership, statistics and personnel selection.

Her research interests include creativity and innovation at the individual, team and organization level; cognitive processes of creativity; leading creative and interdisciplinary teams; team decision-making; and leadership development.

The VCU School of Business scholar-in-residence program brings prominent scholars who are experts in their fields to VCU to engage with students in small and large group settings. Designed to give students and faculty an interactive experience, the program also provides a forum for alumni, Richmond’s business community and industry professionals to gain valuable insights into a variety of academic topics and their relevant real-world applications.
