VCU commencement set for Saturday

Virginia Commonwealth University will award degrees during its May commencement exercises on Saturday.
Actor and VCU athletics hall of famer Boris Kodjoe is this year’s commencement speaker. The commencement ceremony starts at 10 a.m. at the Richmond Coliseum, 601 E. Leigh St. Doors will open at 9 a.m.
There is a limited opportunity for a media availability with Kodjoe prior to commencement. Media interested in participating in that must arrive at the Fifth Street entrance of the coliseum no later than 9 a.m. to get credentials and clear security. Media credentials are also required for access to the floor of the coliseum and to access reserved media seating in section 15L and may be picked up at the Fifth Street entrance by 10 a.m.
Credentials can also be obtained from University Public Affairs during business hours at 912 W. Grace St., sixth floor. Proof of media affiliation is required to receive credentials.
Limited media parking will be available along the Fifth Street driveway. Media vehicles either should be marked or should display a media placard.
