ACS and VCU offer "I can cope" cancer education program

RICHMOND, Va. – The American Cancer Society and Virginia Commonwealth University’s Massey Cancer Center will co-sponsor the "I Can Cope" cancer education program, a series of classes for people with cancer, their families and friends. Classes will be held at the Hanover Medical Park, 8222 Meadowbridge Rd. in Mechanicsville.

Discovering Resources and Celebrating Life
The American Cancer Society’s "I Can Cope" program provides participants with information about cancer diagnosis, treatment, side-effects, nutrition, exercise and stress management. It also teaches ways to cope with the challenges that arise from a cancer diagnosis. Speakers will include nurses and staff from VCU’s Massey Cancer Center.
The classes are free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, call Ashley Castillon at the American Cancer Society at (804) 527-3722 by May 3.
