With more than 3,000 faculty teaching at Virginia Commonwealth University in disciplines representing everything from fashion marketing to endodontics, there are a lot of passionate people sharing their knowledge and with it, something of themselves, on a daily basis. The latest episodes of our “Think on This” video series give you a window into the minds of three faculty members who have one big thing in common: They’re all about empowering others.

"Think on This" is a series that offers a peek into the minds of the people who are inspiring VCU students and patients every day: our faculty. This is Christine Isaacs, M.D., professor, division chief of general OB/GYN and medical director of midwifery services at VCU Health.

Christine Isaacs, M.D.

Isaacs, division chief of general OB/GYN, talks about the partnership between clinicians and patients. “At the end of the day, when that patient leaves, they’re hopefully leaving with the tools that help them rise up to their best healthy self,” Isaacs said.
