Children’s Hospital of Richmond to Offer Sports-Related Health Seminar for Children

Children’s Hospital of Richmond will present a seminar on sports-related health for children and adolescents as part of the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center seminar series.


"Play Ball! Sports-Related Health for Children Seminar," will take place Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 5:30 p.m. in the VCU Sports Medicine Building, 1300 W. Broad St. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Free parking is available in the Bowe Street Deck.

During the event, a panel of experts will discuss children’s sports-related ailments and how to prevent and treat serious injuries. Topics will include sports-related heart issues, traumatic brain injuries and concussions and orthopaedic injuries.
