Cruiser Highlights Cost of Drunk Driving
VCU Police unveiled a new vehicle on the compass on March 15 to illustrate the toll of driving drunk.
The front of the vehicle appears to be a police car and the back appears to be a taxi. It is designed to send a message that driving drunk costs approximately $10,000 in fines and legal fees, while the cost of taking a taxi ride home after a night out is about $20. Police will park the vehicle around campus and use it at large student events.
