Andrew L. Wilson, Pharm. D., VCU Health System and School of Pharmacy
Wilson, associate dean in the School of Pharmacy and director of Pharmacy Services in the VCU Health System, has been appointed to the selection panel for the 2006 American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASH) Foundation Award for Sustained Contributions to the Literature of Pharmacy Practice. The annual program recognizes important contributions to the literature of pharmacy practice in hospitals and health systems. Wilson has served on the panel since 2002.
Debora Halpern Wenger, School of Mass Communications
The Radio and Television News Directors Foundation has named Wenger, professor in the School of Mass Communications, a 2005 Educator in the Newsroom (EIN) Fellow. The EIN Fellowships assign broadcast journalism professors to radio and television newsrooms for a one-month term each summer to get hands-on experience and training in current practices, new technologies and issues confronting today's journalists. Wenger's host television station is KPNX-TV, a National Broadcast Corporation (NBC) affiliate station in Phoenix.
Cathy J. Bradley, Ph.D., Department of Health Administration
Bradley, professor in the Department of Health Administration, has accepted an invitation to serve as a member of the Center for Scientific Review’s Health Services Organization and Delivery Study section for a four-year term beginning July 2005. Members are selected based on the quality of their research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals and other scientific achievements and honors. Bradley, a health economist, has focused her research primarily on cancer and its treatment. She addresses research topics related to disparities in cancer care and survival among lower-income populations – particularly those insured by Medicaid.
