Four new members appointed to VCU Board of Visitors

The Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors today welcomes four new members following their appointments by Gov. Bob McDonnell.
Four-year terms begin immediately for:
- Nancy C. Everett, Richmond, BlackRock managing director and head of U.S. Fiduciary Management Solutions. Everett, a VCU accounting graduate, is a founding member of the VCU School of Business Foundation.
- John W. Snow, Richmond, chairman of Cerberus Capital Management. Snow served as the 73rd U.S. Secretary of the Treasury under President George W. Bush. He also was chairman and CEO of CSX Corporation.
- George Richard “Rick” Wagoner, Birmingham, Mich., former chairman and CEO of General Motors. Wagoner served as former chair of the Duke University Board of Trustees and is a member of several international business advisory boards.
- Steve Worley, Harahan, La., president and CEO of Louisiana Children’s Medical Center, which includes Children’s Hospital, New Orleans. Worley graduated from VCU with a B.S. degree in business management and a master’s degree in business administration.
“The entire VCU community welcomes these exceptional individuals who are excellent additions to an already outstanding governing board,” VCU President Michael Rao said. “I look forward to working with the new members and the entire board on advancing VCU as a nationally competitive research university.”
Rao also expressed gratitude for the service of board members whose terms expired at the end of June: Rector John Doswell, Lillian Lambert, W. Baxter Perkinson, Jr. and Stuart Siegel.
