Governor holds third annual campus preparedness conference at VCU

Campus leaders, government representatives, law enforcement officers and emergency personnel from throughout Virginia participated in the third annual Governor’s Preparedness Conference on Aug. 3 at the University Student Commons. The daylong conference focused on preparations for the H1N1 flu virus, ways for universities to collaborate internally and externally to prepare for emergencies, and effective means to employ social networking and media to communicate in emergencies.
