International business forum to discuss Americanization at VCU on March 6

WHAT: Virginia Commonwealth University’s 8th annual International Business Forum will discuss "The Americanization of World Cultures through Television, Film and Advertising."

This forum is sponsored by a grant from Universal Corporation of Richmond and is supported by the Society of International Business Fellows Virginia Chapter, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, the World Affairs Council of Greater Richmond, the Richmond Export-Import Club, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Van Wood, Ph.D., professor eminent scholar, VCU School of Business, Department of Marketing and Business Law

Panelists:

Dick Robertson, president, Warner Brothers Domestic Television Distribution, Burbank, CA.

David Bell, vice chairman, Interpublic Group of Companies, New York. Interpublic is the world’s largest marketing communications and services company.

Vishakha Desai, Ph.D., senior vice president and director of the museum and cultural programs at the Asia Society, New York.

Pierre-Yves Dugua, Washington-based business correspondent for Le Figaro, the largest French daily newspaper, and Radio France.
