Minority Political Leadership Institute application deadline extended through Jan. 29

The Minority Political Leadership Institute (MPLI), an intensive five-month experience to promote leadership development for aspiring minority leaders and others interested in assuming leadership roles on issues relevant to minority communities, will receive applications for participants through Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004.

Designed for a cohort of 25-30 participants, MPLI exposes participants to insights and concepts regarding personal leadership, policy and legislative processes to cultivate a deeper understanding of legacy, responsible stewardship, public service and integrity as future leaders.  

The Institute is an initiative of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus Foundation in collaboration with the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University's Center for Public Policy and participating historically black colleges and universities in Virginia.
