STATEMENT BY TOM SNEAD, CHAIR, ACADEMIC AND HEALTH AFFAIRS POLICY COMMITTEE OF THE VCU BOARD OF VISITORS

The Academic and Health Affairs Policy Committee of the Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors met today in a closed session as part of an ongoing investigation into anonymous allegations that the university improperly granted a bachelor's degree.  It is our duty to conduct the investigation in a thorough, thoughtful and responsible way.

In this regard our work is in process and ongoing, and at this time appears on track for completion by July 1.
