The VCU Board of Visitors will hold a meeting electronically on May 8, beginning at 1 p.m. This will include the budget workshop to discuss the fiscal year 2021 budget, tuition and fees. The proposed range of tuition and mandatory fees can be found here: Tuition Range for Public Notice.
In order to ensure adequate opportunity for informed public comment on the proposed tuition and mandatory fees for the upcoming year, the university has created an electronic portal to gather public comment for transmittal to the Board of Visitors. All comments must be submitted by 4:30 p.m., April 24.
Note: There will be a public comment period during the meeting. The board will receive comments only on matters pertaining to Virginia Commonwealth University’s budget and any potential tuition and fee increases.
You must preregister and will need to provide the following information via email sent to bov@vcu.edu: name, email and phone number, VCU affiliation (e.g. student, faculty, employee, alumni, parent or member of the public), and request for reasonable accommodation. The deadline for preregistration is April 24. Please note in the subject line that you are registering to speak during the public comment. You also may call Chelsea Gray, board liaison, at (804) 828-9213 to register.
Speakers will proceed in the order of preregistration and should be online at the start of the meeting at 1 p.m. Speakers will be limited to three minutes apiece. Every effort will be made to accommodate all speakers within the time constraints of the meeting.
