The Brandcenter at Virginia Commonwealth University is launching BCX, a new executive education division. BCX has opened enrollment for online programs designed specifically for creators and innovators, with custom formats available for corporate development.

"The BCX virtual programs give us the opportunity to further our reach and support those interested in — or already working within — the branding, advertising and marketing industries wherever they are located," said Vann Graves, Ed.D., the school’s executive director. “The pandemic brought about a surge in demand for courses that address the new challenges facing our industry and teach the skills necessary to meet them. We’re happy to provide that with BCX.”

Individual programs are available for participants who are interested in professional development at any stage of their careers. These programs are designed to sharpen leadership skills, teach new software or aid in a career change. The first BCX programs, which will begin this summer and range from two to six weeks in length, will cover several topics, including:

  • A strategic and cultural leadership series
  • Using design as a catalyst for change
  • Software workshops for Adobe After Effects and Adobe Dimension
  • Equity, diversity and inclusion

Through BCX custom programming, companies can design custom employee, management and/or leadership development programs unique to their teams. BCX offers companies an individualized process tailored to a company's specific needs and executive education goals.

Due to the pandemic, BCX programs will be held virtually, with a mix of both synchronous and asynchronous learning. New individual programs will be added continually, including new topics and additional sections of current offerings.
