VCU holds first fall commencement

RICHMOND, Va. – On Dec. 8, Virginia Commonwealth University will hold its first Fall Commencement exercises in the Stuart C. Siegel Center, 1200 W. Broad St., at 2:30 p.m. Traditionally, graduates completing degrees in the summer and fall have been given a reception to celebrate their achievement, but this marks the first year that the university has conducted a fall cap and gown ceremony.

More than 1,650 graduate, undergraduate and professional students will receive their degrees. VCU President Eugene P. Trani, Ph.D., will address the graduates.
