VCU Hosts Conference on Technology’s Impact on the Insurance Industry

Virginia Commonwealth University will host the Fourth Annual Risk and Insurance Studies Center Conference on Tuesday.

This year’s conference, which will be held at Snead Hall, 301 W. Main St., will focus on “The Future of Technology in the Insurance Industry,” featuring a panel discussion with a collection of local, regional and national experts. Registration and breakfast for the conference starts at 7:30 a.m. with opening remarks by Alfred W. Gross, commissioner of insurance in the Virginia Bureau of Insurance, scheduled for 8:30 a.m. The program extends into the early afternoon.

The conference is presented by the Risk and Insurance Studies Center in the VCU School of Business with the assistance of the Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia and the Virginia Bureau of Insurance.
