Ethan Nadelmann, Ph.D., founder and executive director of the Drug Policy Alliance, will host a lecture titled “Our long strange trip: The international scene.” Free and open to the public, the lecture will take place on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. in the VCU School of Business Auditorium, 1015 Floyd Ave. Nadelmann’s visit is part of a four-session lecture series on drugs and the law.
Nadelmann’s writings have appeared in numerous national publications, including “Science” and “National Review,” and he has appeared on a variety of national radio and television programs including ABC’s “Nightline;” NBC’s “Today Show” and “Nightly News;” CBS’s “48 Hours” and “Morning News;” and CNN’s “Larry King Live.” “Rolling Stone” magazine describes him as the point man for drug policy reform efforts.
Nadelmann is available for interviews and can address issues specific to Virginia and the nation, including medical marijuana, methamphetamine use, the relationship between drugs and terrorism and the state of drug policy reform in America.
