VCU Medical Center presents ‘Women’s Heart Health’ lecture at Lewis Ginter

The Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center continues its free educational seminar series this winter featuring experts who provide important health information and answer questions on a variety of current topics in health care.

The series’ next lecture, “Women’s Heart Health,” will take place on Feb. 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Education and Library Complex, 1800 Lakeside Ave. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required. “Women’s Heart Health” will be presented by Bethany Denlinger, M.D., a physician in the VCU Pauley Heart Center and an associate professor of internal medicine and cardiology in the VCU School of Medicine. The seminar will discuss how the symptoms of heart disease can be different in men and women. It also will cover the risk factors of heart disease in women and the unique diagnostic and treatment options now available.
