VCU Medical Center to Present Lecture on Bariatric Surgery

The Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center will present a lecture on bariatric surgery as part of its free educational seminar series.

Free and open to the public, the lecture will take place Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, Education and Library Complex, 1800 Lakeside Ave. Registration is required.

“The Benefits of Bariatric Surgery,” will be presented by Silas Chikunguwo, M.D., VCU Surgical Weight Loss Center. Chikunguwo will discuss bariatric surgery and why it may be a good option for certain individuals.
