VCU MRICU donates scrubs to Nicaragua Hospital
Share this story
Nurses in the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center’s Medical Respiratory Intensive Care Unit have donated antimicrobial scrubs used in a recent study to a Nicaragua Hospital.
The Hospital Escuela Oscar Danillo Rosales Arguello (HEODRA) received the scrubs through Blue Sky – a ministry group that delivered them during a mission trip to Nicaragua.
Manufactured by a company known as Vestagen, the scrubs use a new textile technology that offers safety and protection from splatters, spills and exposure to bodily fluids and other contaminants.
