VCU Professor can Discuss U.S. Health Care Policy and Reform

Virginia Commonwealth University has an expert available for comment regarding U.S. health care policy and reform in the United States.
Carl F. Ameringer, Ph.D., professor of health policy and politics and coordinator of the graduate program in Public Administration in the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in law and public policy with an emphasis on U.S. health policy and the politics of health care access and delivery.
Ameringer has more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry, including serving as Assistant Attorney General and deputy counsel to the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, participating on Governors’ Task Forces in Maryland and Wisconsin, consulting for the University of Maryland School of Law and testifying on numerous occasions before the Maryland State Legislature.
Ameringer is author of “State Medical Boards and the Politics of Public Protection” and “The Health Care Revolution: From Medical Monopoly to Market Competition.”
