Kenneth White, Ph.D., professor and director of the graduate program in health administration is the recipient of the American College of Healthcare Executives’ 2006 Edgar C. Hayhow award.

The award will be presented March 28 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. White will be honored along with John Griffith, professor at the University of Michigan, for their article “The Revolution in Hospital Management,” which appeared in the May/June 2005 issue of the Journal of Healthcare Management.

The Edward C. Hayhow award is presented annually to the author or authors of an article judged the best among those published in the Journal of Healthcare Management, ACHE’s official journal.

In addition, the ACHE also will present a Student Chapter Award to VCU’s student chapter of ACHE for the greatest number of graduating students advancing in ACHE over a one-year period.

The Student Chapter Award was established to recognize active student chapters whose programs have demonstrated a commitment to promoting advancement in ACHE.
