VCU student organization to host Richmond community health fair

Virginia Commonwealth University's MCV Campus Student Government Association is holding its first community health fair that will offer free medical, dental and other health screenings. 

The Richmond Community Health Fair takes place on Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Exhibit Hall D at the Greater RichmondConvention Center, 403 N. Third St. The health fair is open to the public. All health services will be provided free of charge.

Services will be provided by representatives of many of VCU's health sciences schools and local community health organizations, including the Virginia Dental Association. A variety of services will be available, including blood pressure checks, cholesterol screenings, diabetes screenings and dental services. Health education information also will be distributed.

The student-run fair includes a separate section for children with health screenings, games and activities.
