Verizon Executive to Speak at VCU on the Future of Wireless Communications

Anthony A. Lewis, vice president of wholesale development and operations for Verizon Wireless, will speak on the future of wireless communications on Sept. 22 at Virginia Commonwealth University as part of the ongoing Verizon Communications and VCU Department of Marketing speaker series.
Lewis will lead a discussion titled “The Future of Wireless: What to Expect and How You Will Benefit” at 3 p.m. in Room B1115 of Snead Hall, 301 W. Main St., the home of the VCU School of Business. A reception will precede the event at 2:30 p.m. in the Snead Hall Atrium. The lecture is the fourth in the Verizon/VCU Department of Marketing speaker series. As vice president of wholesale development and operations for Verizon Wireless, Lewis has profit and loss responsibility for the wholesale business. This includes directing business development, account management, operations, financial matters and product support. Prior to this, Lewis was responsible for executing the open development initiative, including directing the pricing, activation, billing, distribution, device specification, testing, communications planning and financial matters for the project.
From 2004 to 2008, Lewis served as president of Verizon – Washington, D.C., where he had oversight for all of Verizon's operations, including regulatory and financial matters in the nation's capital. He currently serves on several boards, including Fight for Children, DC Children First and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
