Virginia Business Coalition on Health to host Winter Business Roundtable

The Virginia Business Coalition on Health will host a winter roundtable: Purchasers & Providers Together on Quality and Patient Safety.

The roundtable will highlight best practices at Virginia hospitals, and national speakers will provide updates on the 2007 Leapfrog Hospital Quality and Safety Survey.

The keynote speaker is Dennis C. White, senior vice president, Value Based Purchasing, National Business Coalition on Health. He has more than 30 years experience in health care in three sectors, including for-profit consulting, nonprofit hospital and coalition management and government.

The roundtable also will feature Alistair Erksine, M.D., chief medical information officer, VCU Health System; Carol Sale, director of performance improvement, Sentara Healthcare; Tim Tobin, chief executive officer, Alleghany Regional Hospital; and Sarah Collins Boyd, program manager, the Leapfrog Group.
