Virginia Communications Hall of Fame Call for Nominations

The Virginia Communications Hall of Fame seeks nominees for its 2008 class of inductees.
The Hall of Fame seeks to induct persons who were born in Virginia who have made outstanding, long-term contributions to the field of communications, or persons born elsewhere who have become distinctively identified with Virginia and have made outstanding long-term contributions in the field of communications.
Nominations should include:
· A letter of nomination that identifies the nominee and describes, in as much detail as possible, the professional contributions to communication of the nominee and the nominee's Virginia connection.
· Contact information for the nominee including (or, if deceased, of one of the nominee's family members) address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address.
· Names and contact information for at least two individuals who the Hall of Fame Selection Committee could contact for additional information on behalf of the nominee.
Nominations must be received no later than Nov. 1, 2007. The induction ceremonies will occur on April 17, 2008, at a "black tie optional" event at The Jefferson Hotel, Richmond.
No more than four individuals will be inducted in 2008, one of whom may be inducted posthumously.
