WEAVEonline Earns Governor’s Technology Awards Honorable Mention

Virginia Commonwealth University received an honorable mention for Innovation in Higher Education at the 2011 Governor’s Technology Awards ceremony this fall for WEAVEonline, an assessment and planning system.
WEAVEonline is an innovative Web-based tool that helps manage accreditation, assessment, planning, and quality improvement processes for colleges and universities. It allows colleges and universities to automate the capture and analysis of information to support continuing improvement efforts in individual programs and services throughout the institution.
WEAVEonline has been instrumental in improving efficiency in administration through innovative information technology. The system has been implemented at many Virginia higher education institutions including VCU, University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, George Mason, Longwood and Roanoke College.
Judging criteria were business proposition, innovation and technological merit, value and success.
